Beloved at the Well of Living Water

Intro

Midday sun upon the dust, at Jacob’s ancient well,

A brokenhearted woman comes, her deepest thirst to quell.

She carries years of empty hope beneath the burning sky,

And there beside the weathered stone, she meets a stranger’s eye.

Verse 1

Long ago when daylight burned, still high above the land,

Jacob met his Rachel here and gently took her hand.

He rolled the stone, he gave her drink, his heart was drawn to hers,

A simple well became the place where covenant love stirs.

Chorus

True Church of Covenant is born not in a temple or synagogue,

But at a well, where heaven meets the weary and the worn.

Here the faithful remnant finds her Groom, her living spring,

Betrothed forever at the well, where grace and love begin.

Verse 2

Five husbands tried to claim her soul, and left her bound in chains,

The sixth who held her now could give no covenant or grace.

She walked alone with hidden shame, her soul so deep in night,

A leaderless and thirsting bride beneath the scorching light.

Chorus

True Church of Covenant is born not in a temple or synagogue,

But at a well, where heaven meets the weary and the worn.

Here the faithful remnant finds her Groom, her living spring,

Betrothed forever at the well, where grace and love begin.

Verse 3

He spoke of water none had drawn, a fountain deep inside,

He named her past with tender truth and opened wide her eyes.

She saw the Prophet, knew the Christ, for Whom her heart had cried,

And in that moment at the well, her soul became His bride.

Chorus

True Church of Covenant is born not in a temple or synagogue,

But at a well, where heaven meets the weary and the worn.

Here the faithful remnant finds her Groom, her living spring,

Betrothed forever at the well, where grace and love begin.

Outro

So come, oh listener, leave your jar, draw near and take His hand,

Taste the living water now — the Bridegroom understands.

The wedding feast has just begun, the well still calls your name,

Betrothed at Jacob’s well today, forever held and claimed.
